On Monday, 16th September we played our first league matches of the 2024/25 season. In our excellent new venue of the Radcliffe and Bingham Social Club, our third and fourth teams met in Division 5 whilst our first team hosted West Bridgford 2 in Division 2.
We were proud to display the Small Club of the Year trophy awarded to us by the English Chess Federation.
The ECF award also included a grant of £250 courtesy of the Chess Trust and we had used this as a contribution towards acquiring a dozen beautiful wooden chess sets that made their debut in the evening’s matches.
