On Saturday, 13th July the Radcliffe and Bingham Chess Club set up a stall at the Carnival held at The Grange, Radcliffe on Trent. Local residents – young and not-so-young – were invited to play games against members of the Club on the giant chess board and on normal chess sets. Fortunately the rain held off until the end of the day and we were delighted at the high level of interest shown by local children and adults alike. Hopefully, we have unearthed some hidden talent and budding future grandmasters!
